A recent survey about the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office garnered good results. The Courier reports those who took the survey generally had a positive opinion about the agency.
Crime prevention deputy Beth Baker tells the newspaper the office received four or five stars on most of the 13 questions. The topics ranged from questions about outreach to questions about interactions with deputies. Participants could also write comments.
161 people took the survey. 85 percent of those who took part were satisfied with the overall performance of the sheriff’s office. Around 11 percent had a negative opinion about the agency.
