Farmers have been trying to cut down on the runoff that gets to Lake Erie. OSU extension educator Ed Lentz said that there wasn’t much information last year.
Lentz said that they have been focused on three areas. They are on farm research, farmer training, and impact measuring of what is coming off of fields.
OSU extension educator Ed Lentz said that their efforts have been fruitful.
The goal is to lessen the number of nutrients in the water that could cause algal blooms.
