Valfilm Inc. Announced plans to power their North American Headquarters in Findlay with wind turbines. The company said the Wind for Industry project is designed to reduce the manufacturing plant’s electrical consumption. One Energy is financing the $6.9 million project. Valfilm will pay for the Turbines through a fixed electrical rate over the next 20 years.

As part of the project, Valfilm will establish two $5,000 Megawatt Scholarships for local students. The scholarships will be awarded every year the turbines are in use and will go to students pursuing a degree in the STEM field.
