Hancock County Sheriff’s Office Certified In New State Standards

The Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board developed new state standards for police last August. The Courier reports that the board certified the Hancock County Sheriff’s office adopted and implemented the new standards.

They are part of an effort to strengthen community and police relations. They involve standards for the use of force, including deadly. It also lays out agency recruitment and hiring.
