The Findlay Rotary Club got an update on flood mitigation during their Monday meeting. Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development director Tim Mayle said the benching project is well underway and they are making plans for the future.

Mayle added that they are also looking at how to improve transportation corridors so people can more easily get through the city in the event there is a flood.

Blanchard River Watershed Solutions president David Blatnik explained that it is important for rural, city, and business groups to come together to tackle flooding.

Blatnik said that they will continue to look at projects to determine their effectiveness across the flood plain.
