Fostoria got good financial news Tuesday night. The Review-Times says a report given to city council shows the general fund is “in the black.” The news comes after years of financial difficulties for the city.

Fostoria Mayor Eric Keckler says there’s still a lot of work to do, but is happy to see things going in the right direction. He added that they appreciate everyone who voted for a levy that helped kick-start a fiscal recovery plan. Keckler also says expenses are down at the moment.

Ohio put Fostoria under a fiscal emergency declaration in 2016.
