The Hancock County Commissioners voted to lower the rates at the Hancock County Sanitary Landfill. Commissioner Brian Robertson said that this will save money elsewhere.
Robertson explained that they do this occasionally.
The rate was at $37.75/ton but has been reduced to $15/ton.
