Man Arrested After Stabbing In Fostoria

On 11/14/2025 at approximately 1657 hrs, the Fostoria Police Department responded to a disturbance at 203 Independence Ave. Upon officers’ arrival, they found a male subject who had been stabbed several times in the neck and hands, and a second male subject, standing nearby holding a knife. Officers secured the subject with the knife and immediately rendered aid to the wounded subject.

Fostoria Fire/ EMS were called to the scene where they rendered additional aid and transported the wounded subject to Fostoria ProMedica Hospital. He was later airlifted to Toledo Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. At last report, he was listed in stable condition.

The subject found with the knife, was identified as Stephen Biggs, 49 YOA from Fostoria. Mr Biggs was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault. He is currently being held in the Hancock County Jail without bail.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and additional charges are pending the outcome. The Ohio BCI Crime Scene Unit was requested to the location of the stabbing, to assist with processing the scene and collecting evidence.
