(ONN) – Funding for the Cleveland Browns’ suburban move may have hit a roadblock.
Two northeast Ohio law firms are trying to block the team from using $600 million in state unclaimed funds for a new Brook Park stadium.
Dann Law and the Palmer Law Group are asking a federal court for an immediate order to halt the plan while a class action lawsuit – which was filed last month – proceeds in court.
The attorneys argue using the funds without notice or compensation violates both the U.S. and Ohio Constitutions.
