Findlay Police Investigating Shooting

(From the Findlay Police Department)

On 7-4-25 at 1134 hours the Findlay Police Department was dispatched to a male shot at the Rodeway Inn at 1901 Broad Avenue.

It was advised that he had been shot in the leg.

There were conflicting reports indicating that a female had possibly shot the male.

Upon arrival, the male was located at the hotel with gunshot wounds; one to each leg.

First aid was rendered to the male to stop the bleeding and he was transported from the scene to a waiting ambulance.

He was then transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for further medical treatment.

His injuries were non-life threatening.

The male believed he was shot by an unknown suspect who has been stalking him.

A crime scene was established, evidence was collected, and witnesses were interviewed.

The available evidence indicates that the gunshot was an accidental discharge by the victim himself, which traveled through both legs.

A vehicle was seized as evidence which is believed to contain the firearm used.

At this time it is not believed there is any threat to the public.

The matter is under investigation.

The identity of the male is not being released at this time.
