(From Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly)
Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the newest member of the Tiffin Police Department and our Tiffin community – Officer Matthew Sharpe.
Officer Sharpe comes to us with a strong foundation in service and discipline, having served several years in the United States Marine Corps as a military law enforcement officer. Over the next several months, he will undergo field training with our experienced team, preparing to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity as he steps into his new role.
Last night, in a meaningful ceremony led by Mayor Lee Wilkinson, Officer Sharpe took the oath of office in front of proud family members, friends, and fellow officers. In a particularly moving moment, his mother had the honor of pinning on his Tiffin Police Department badge—marking the beginning of what we know will be a distinguished career in service to others.
We are excited to welcome Officer Sharpe to the TPD family and are confident that his background, character, and dedication will be a valuable asset to both the department and the city we serve.
Welcome aboard, Officer Sharpe. We look forward to all you will bring to the badge and to our community.
