The Carey Blue Devils football team won the Division VI state championship on Saturday.

Carey defeated defending state champs Coldwater 26-14 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.

On Sunday afternoon the community celebrated the team at the high school gym.

Carey last won the state championship in 1975.
