The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says hunters in the Buckeye State nabbed nearly 12,000 more deer this season than one year ago.
Officials released county by county totals with a final state count of 184,465 deer in 2019-2020, which is up from 172,670 in 2018-2019.
Coshocton County led Ohio followed by Tuscarawas, Ashtabula, Muskingum, and Licking rounding out the top five.
1,387 deer were taken in Hancock County. 849 were taken in Putnam County.
The final harvest total represents all deer taken during archery, gun, muzzleloader, and youth seasons.
