Movement Church is in the process of getting move into the old Ace Hardware location on South Main and Front Streets in Findlay.
Eric Ferguson said that the location is a dream come true.
Before this, they had met at Glenwood Middle School.
Ferguson added that they want to make sure the building has a community use as well.
He said that they aren’t sure what that use will be yet.
Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn was officially sworn in on Tuesday morning.
Muryn said that the ceremony meant a lot after her first election.
She said that after a few days to relax she wants to hit the ground running.
She explained that she wants to get to work on strategic planning, implementing a sidewalk program, and to make a plan to continue to be strong financial stewards.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is urging people to celebrate the New Year’s holiday responsibly, which includes designating a sober driver.
The highway patrol’s zero-tolerance policy is part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign.
“We take impaired driving seriously and remain dedicated to enforcing Ohio’s OVI laws,” said Colonel Richard S. Fambro.
“We can’t fight the battle against impaired driving on our own – we need your commitment to make our roads safe. You can help us save lives and make our roads safer when you designate a sober driver.”
The New Year’s holiday reporting period begins Tuesday, December 31 at midnight and ends on Wednesday, January 1 at 11:59 p.m.
Eleven fatal crashes killed 12 people during the four-day 2018-2019 New Year’s holiday reporting period. Seven of those crashes and fatalities were OVI related.
Of the 9 fatalities in which safety belts were available, seven were unbelted.
During last year’s reporting period, the Patrol made 458 arrests for OVI.
The highway patrol reminds drivers to plan ahead, designate a sober driver or make other arrangements.
Motorists are encouraged to report impaired drivers and drug activity to the Patrol by calling #677.
Safe Ride Home is a way for people in Hancock County to get home safely after their New Year’s party.
Minimum wage workers in Ohio will get a small raise on Wednesday.
Beginning January 1st, 2020, the state’s minimum wage will increase to $8.70 an hour, which is a raise of 15-cents.
Ohio will be among 24 states seeing their workers get a raise this coming year.
Even with the raise, the Buckeye state will pay its minimum wage workers less than neighbors Michigan and West Virginia, but more than Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Findlay Fire Department was busy last week going over what equipment is available and how it’s used for water and ice rescues.
Assistant Fire Chief Brian Sanders said that it’s important to make sure their skills are always sharp.
This ensures that they are ready to handle any situation that may come their way.
Sanders said that this time of year they like to focus on ice rescue techniques.
The Findlay Fire Department will run water rescue exercises in the spring as well.
Boy Scout Troop 322 in Findlay is raising funds for the troop by taking live Christmas Trees down for people.
Katie Erickson said it’s a cost-effective way to give back, all they have to do is load up in a truck and get to work.
The troop is asking for donations of $5 per tree but it isn’t required for the service.
Erickson said you can sign up online, which we have linked here, by the end of Tuesday and they will come to pick up the trees on Saturday, January 24.

Safe Ride Home will be out getting people home after welcoming the new year.
Becky Geuther told us that the organization will take anyone in Hancock County home after celebrating the holiday.
The free ride service can usually be found in downtown Findlay around Crawford Street.
They will be available from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is inviting families to a fun-filled Noon Year’s Eve Family Party.
On Tuesday, December 31st, from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., the library will be holding a party for children of all ages in the Lindamood Room.
People are being urged to wear their fanciest party gear and join the library for a story and crafts as they count down to noon.
The party will then continue with kid-friendly tunes and dancing.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is urging people to get outside and enjoy nature on the first day of 2020.
The ODNR Division of State Parks and Watercraft is coordinating First Day hikes around Ohio.
The hikes will be taking place at six parks: Caesar Creek, south of Dayton; Hueston Woods, north of Oxford in southwest Ohio; Maumee Bay, near Toledo; Portage Lakes, south of Akron; Wingfoot Lake State Park, east of Akron; and Shawnee State Park, near Portsmouth in southern Ohio.
Naturalists will lead winter hikes 1-3 miles in length for beginners and experienced hikers.
