(WFIN) – Around 1,000 8th graders will be stopping at Findlay manufacturers over a 4-day period to help celebrate Manufacturing Day, which is on October 4.
The “Manufacturing Experience!” event will take place on September 30, and October 2 – 4 at Cooper Tire, Rowmark, Valfilm, Whirlpool, and GSW.
Students will get the chance to learn more about manufacturing careers and the technical skills required for them.
The event was started locally 5-years ago by Cooper Tire.
Raise the Bar Hancock County director Laurie Zydonik stated that as many as 2.4 million manufacturing jobs are expected to go unfilled between now and 2028.
