(ONN) – Officials have decided on whether to add two more qualifying conditions for medical marijuana use in Ohio.
There are 21 qualifying conditions for using medical marijuana in Ohio.
An appeal to add two more to the list was considered this week.
The Ohio State Medical Board has decided that doctors cannot treat anxiety or autism with medical marijuana.
According to the Dispatch, the board voted against the idea, saying there have not been enough clinical trials or evidence to add those two ailments to the list of qualifying conditions.
The next open period to consider adding qualifying conditions is in November of next year.
