Golfers in Putnam County took advantage of the great weekend to raise money for the Putnam County Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Hometown Stations reports that the 8th “Golf for Kids Sakes” outing took place at the Pike Run Golf Course. The event serves as one of two major fundraising events for the organization.
The outing raises an average of $9,000 every year. Putnam County BBBS vice president Todd Pester told the newspaper it’s important to mentor the county youth so that they have a positive role model that can help empower them.
