A new addition to the Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School recently hosted classes for the first time. Superintendent Andrew Sprang gave a project update during Monday’s school board meeting. Sprang says the addition opened after Christmas break with sixth-grade classes taking place.
Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School will host pre-Kindergarten through sixth-grade classes when construction finishes. Construction currently continues through the building. Sprang says crews worked on tearing up the ceiling, knocking out walls and other projects over the holiday break.
The pre-K through sixth-grade building project should wrap up by the beginning of the 2019-20 school year. Construction on the new junior/senior high school could wrap up by December of this year.
