Findlay Fire Chief Josh Eberle met with the Hancock County Commissioners to talk about training facilities. Eberle said that he’s laid much of the groundwork to get a facility made in Hancock County.
Eberle said that it would save the city and county departments money on going to a different city to use their facilities. It will also allow for more collaboration between departments.
Eberle said that while there is no guarantee that this facility will be constructed, they have decided on a location. If built, the facility will be at Fire Station 4 on County Road 236.
The projected cost for the facility is around $622,000. The Commissioners agreed to provide a letter of support. No money was asked for at this time.
