A documentary about Post-Traumatic Stress disorder features a Putnam County paramedic. WLIO-TV reports “A New Leash on Life: the K9s for Warriors Story” features Louis Belluomini and his service dog Star. Lima Memorial Hospital screened the movie Monday night for EMS and hospital workers.

The hospital says it was important for EMS workers to see the effects of PTSD because they are subject to it as well.

The documentary chronicles Belluomini and two other veterans and their battles with PTSD, as well as the help they’ve received with their service dogs.
