68 percent of Putnam County voters voted in favor of renewing a public health levy. The quarter-mill, 10-year levy pays for various health department inspections and investigations. The levy also pays for nurses to perform vision and scoliosis screenings at all schools in Putnam County.
Elsewhere in Putnam County, Leipsic voters renewed a 3 mills emergency levy for the school district. Voters in the Continental school district renewed a 1.4-mill, five-year permanent improvement levy by nearly 300 votes.
In Columbus Grove, residents voted in favor of a one-quarter percent, 15-year income tax to pay for swimming pool and park improvements. It passed by 143 votes.
