Women’s Mentoring Connection wants to help women learn about effective communication. The “Effective Communications in the Workplace” presentation will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. next Friday at the Birchaven Retirement Village CLubhouse. The presentation will feature a panel of women from various professional backgrounds. They will talk about how to communicate effectively with a boss or co-workers that may lack communication skills.

The program is free but attendees are encouraged to bring a donation for a local nonprofit. This program will benefit Coats for Christmas. Appropriate donations include new or gently used coats, hats, and mittens.
