A traffic stop on County Road 140 led to two arrests Sunday night. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies took 27-year-old Justin Stover of Belmore and 22-year-old Dominec Abbott of Haskins into custody after they allegedly found stolen guns and drugs in their car.
A deputy pulled Stover over for a headlight violation on Road 140, north of State Route 12, around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Stover admitted he had a gun inside his SUV. An investigation found that Stover’s concealed carry license had expired, and two stolen guns were in the vehicle.
The deputy also said he smelled the odor of raw marijuana. That led to a search that allegedly turned up 17 grams of marijuana and five grams of methamphetamine.
