There is an uptick of Acute Flaccid Myelitis or AFM in Ohio, affecting four children across the state. Hancock Public Health Commissioner Karim Baroudi said that they aren’t entirely sure what is causing the illness but do have some ideas.
Baroudi explained that there are symptoms to look for.
He added that they continue to monitor the disease across the state. All of the affected children are recovering well.
There are no cases in Hancock County.
