Unemployment rates continue to fall in the region. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says Hancock County’s jobless rate was 3.1 percent in September. That’s down from 3.4 percent the month before.

Putnam County has the lowest unemployment rate in our area, at 2.8 percent. That’s down from 3 percent in August. Wyandot County is also below 3 percent unemployment, at 2.9 percent.

Every other area county is at 4 percent unemployment or below.
