Ohio State Auditor candidate Keith Faber made a stop in Findlay to talk about his campaign Thursday. Faber said that the auditor will monitor how tax dollars are spent but more importantly work on saving money.
He said that expanding performance investments will hold agencies accountable and save money. He also addressed Issue 1 on the ballot this year. He said that he thinks Issue 1 will remove the court’s ability to keep people in treatment.
Issue 1 will turn 4th and 5th-degree felonies into misdemeanors. Faber said that this will allow people carrying dangerous drugs like fentanyl to escape jail time.
