The Arcadia school district is changing the doors to 22 classrooms as part of a countywide safety project. The school board approved buying the doors during a Tuesday meeting. The current doors have glass material in the bottom section, making them incompatible with “the boot” safety device.
The boot allows teachers to secure doors in the event of a school intruder.
