A Findlay Police Department K9 will be a little safer while on the job. The Findlay Police Department reports that they received a bullet and stab protective vest for K9 Deke. The vest is a donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The American Legion, Ralph D. Cole, Post 3 in Findlay sponsored the vest.

The donation to provide a vest to a law enforcement K9 is $950. Each vest costs between $1,700 and $2,200. You can see a picture of Deke in his new vest on our website.
