Auditor Charity Rauschenberg says the money the township loses doesn’t move to McComb’s ledger. Rauschenberg says McComb’s inside millage would stay the same.

Aside from the loss of revenue, township officials have concerns about what a split could mean for the area fire district.

Commissioner Mark Gazarek says they’ll review the numbers and meet with both sides again before making a decision.
