A three-car crash injured five people near Lima Saturday afternoon. The State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at the intersection of Eastown Road and Sunnydale Street around 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

27-year-old Erica Birchmeier of Ottawa was driving north on Eastown when she hit the back of a car driven by 46-year-old Jennifer Hiester of Ada. The impact of the collision pushed Hiester’s car into the back of another car driven by 79-year-old Rebecca Keller of Elida. Birchmeier and her passenger, as well as Hiester and her passenger, went to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Keller received treatment at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
