A Findlay boy’s generosity has had a ripple effect in the community. Eight-year-old Keegan Lane recently delivered $100 to Hope House. Since news of his donation spread, matching gifts totaling $1,000 have come to the organization.
Tina Lane says her son got some money from his grandma at Christmas. She said his grandma specified that a part of the money had to go to charity. Once he saw a flier for the Hope House Independence Day campaign he decided to donate $5. Friends and family members matched the gift, quickly bumping it to $100.
Hope House’s Independence Day Campaign looks to raise $30,000 to help 90 local families transition from homelessness to self-reliance this year.
