The United Way of Hancock County wants to ensure that children can get into pre-school. CEO John Urbanski explained that pre-school helps prepare kids.
Urbanski also explained how getting children into pre-school can help save schools money.
This can help cut the costs needed for remediation and help improve grades.
Urbanski said that United Way and the Community Foundation provide funding for pre-school scholarships. He said that this allows people who can’t normally afford the programs to get their children in.
