The Ohio EPA is giving several area counties grant money to help low-to-moderate income homeowners replace or repair failing septic systems. The agency says around 31 percent of all household sewage treatment systems in Ohio are experiencing some degree of failure due to poor maintenance or age.
Hancock and Hardin Counties are both getting $100,000 or more. Putnam, Seneca, Wood, Wyandot, and Henry counties are all getting $200,000 each.
