It’s probably a good idea to start making plans on how you’ll stay cool this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for Henry, Allen and Putnam counties from Friday morning through Saturday evening. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-90s on Friday and Saturday. The heat index will rise to nearly 110 degrees at times.
Areas outside the excessive heat watch won’t fare much better. The forecast in Findlay calls for a high of 92 on Friday and 94 on Saturday.
The weather service says the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity increase the chance of heat-related stress and illness.
