Juveniles are committing less crime in Hancock County. The court saw a little more than 1,100 cases filed in 2017. That represents a 100 case decline from 2016 and is the lowest number of cases since 1985.
Violent crimes and alcohol and drug violations are down. Property damage and weapons offenses also declined. One area that saw an increase was sex offenses involving juveniles.
