Sexual harassment allegations have been on the rise in recent months and that has some people concerned. University of Findlay’s Dr. Scott Freehafer said that it is good to see all of these men and women speaking out. However, he says that he’s worried some innocent people could get reprimanded before an investigation is done.
He added that it is important to make sure employees are trained in Human Resource practices.
Freehafer said that this training will help people to understand harassment and perception. He said that sometimes people will say something that can be misconstrued and perceived the wrong way. This can make someone uncomfortable or make them feel threatened.
