Hancock County is on the leading edge of an increase in personal income for Ohioans. According to Jeff Newman, an economist with Bureau of Economic Analysis, the majority of counties across Ohio saw growth of one-point-eight-percent on average.

Newman explained a couple of different factors can lead to the fluctuation of the growth rate.

Last year grew at a slower rate than in 2015 because of slower growth in earnings and property growth. Personal income for residents averaged more than 44-thousand-dollars per year.
