An area developer has plans for more housing near downtown Findlay. The Findlay City Planning Commission approved a zoning change for a lot at the corner of West Front Street and South West Street during their Thursday meeting. A vacant church currently sits on the property.
Tony Scanlin is the engineering consultant on the project. He told the commission that developer Phil Lawson plans to tear down the vacant building to make way for new townhouses. Scanlin says the demolition project could start this fall.
The plans call for up to eight housing units on the property.
