The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society plans to put a B&O caboose on display as soon as they get the money to prep it. The Review-Times reports the group bought the caboose in May of 2016 for $1,500. Society president Pete DiCesare tells the newspaper that adding a handicap ramp and decking will cost between $10,000 and $12,000. He adds they are trying to get grant money and donations to pay for the project.
DiCesare says the inside of the caboose looks the same as it did the day B&O took it out of service. He adds a few areas inside need secured before they can display it to the public.
