There were 313 OVI-related fatal accidents causing 346 deaths last year, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. There will be an OVI checkpoint in Hancock County to help deter and intercept these impaired drivers and stop potential accidents. A release from the Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol says that the checkpoint is funded with federal grant funds. It will start tomorrow evening and go into Sunday morning.
The location of the checkpoint has not been released yet.
