Two wooden covered bridges in Wyandot County are set for renovation. The Progressor-Times reports the county will spend more than $1.2 million for the restoration initiative. according to the newspaper, most of the money for the work is coming from federal grants.
The contract covers work on the Parker Covered Bridge and the Swartz Covered Bridge. Both bridges are on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Parker bridge burned down in 1991, but a community effort saw it rebuilt a year later.
