Findlay City School Board learned about the 5-year innovation plan the administration is starting. Superintendent Ed Kurt said they want to help kids learn more STEAM processes.
Kurt said that this plan will not only improve education but also lines up with their strategic plan.
It will focus on STEAM concepts which are science, technology, engineering, art, and math. It will allow students to learn how to solve problems in these areas which will be applicable to other areas of life. It will help them build critical thinking, communication, and creative skills. It will also help with building collaboration.
The plan makes it so that 21st century skills are being taught in the classroom to prepare students for their future. Kurt added that they will implement this plan in all of the schools in the district.
